The origins
The Farm House "La Terra del Mezzo" was built in 2007, renovating a group of buildings called "casi du menzu" (the houses of the middle), set in the centre of a big lemon groves. The farm house is located in the seaside village of Torre Archirafi, in the municipality of Riposto. As all the farms of this area, it has been cultivated with vineyards for long time, therefore it was endowed with buildings which contained millstones and cellars. Through the twentieth century it was transformed into a lemon and orange groves.

Now
"La Terra del Mezzo" offers accommodation in 10 comfortable rooms and a restaurant where you can enjoy the flavors and scents of Sicily. The structure is managed by Pennisi family, owner for many generations of the 18 acres of lemon groves which surround it.

WHERE
The Farm House "La Terra del Mezzo", is located in the seaside village of Torre Archirafi, in the municipality of Riposto (Catania), and its entrance is in Strada Provinciale 2 I/II (called strada 4), n. 59 The farm house is just 800m from the seaside, 3 km from the marina of Riposto, 6 km from the exit of the Messina-Catania highway (A18- E45) and 30 km from Catania airport. From "La Terra del Mezzo" you can easily reach several touristic places:

ROOMS

The Farm House offers six double rooms. Three of these are located on the ground floor, and have a small private balcony, the others are on the first floor and offer a beautiful view. Two rooms per floor are communicable from one another.
Two ground floor rooms are suitable for people with reduced mobility.
There are also four junior suites, consisting of entrance hall - living room with sofa bed and a double room.
All ten rooms are equipped with private ventilated bathroom (with bath and shower), air conditioning, telephone, minibar, television with satellite service Sky and ADSL connection LAN.
Breakfast is served every morning in the dining room and outside, below the shadow of lemon trees, when time permits. Mrs. Adele makes every day freshly squeezed citrus juice, homemade cakes, cookies and continental breakfast on request.
There is also a children's playground, a private parking and the reception, where Mr. Claudio will welcome you at any time of day or night.

THE RESTAURANT

The restaurant, open to the public, consists of a set menu that changes every day. The restaurant offers traditional dishes of meat, fish and vegetables, accompanied by red and white Sicilian wines.
Don't miss the parade of handmade rustic appetizers by chef "Tatta", and indulge yourself in the delightful bliss of flavors and fragrances of the entrée and main courses prepared by chef Michael with various ingredients of our land, including lemon, mint, pine nuts, seasonal vegetables. And then, enjoy a delicious homemade desserts.
Pennisi family will welcome you and make you enjoy a warm environment that becomes instantly familiar. Gianni and Giuppi will advice you a proper wine to match to your meal.
